It’s October 7, 2020 and Sénica is 13 years old today, which means ‘she’s’ officially a teenager.
This year has been all about stepping back and focusing on the musts of life and trusting that everything else will work out how it is meant to. There’s so much freedom that has come with this approach. It allows for less pressure and more clarity. I’m spending my time on the things I must do instead of thinking of all of the things I should catch up on, should be doing, should be trying, should be (fill in the blank). Those ‘shoulds’ in my experience usually aren’t what really need my focus.
2020 has been an interesting year on all fronts. It has reinforced the lesson of sitting down and handling one thing at a time. I’ve also been more intentional at prioritizing wellness. Afterall, I can’t be a wellness coach and not ‘walk the talk.’ I need 7-9 hours of sleep to function well so I’ve been focusing on that. I’m on a journey to reclaim my rest. I’m also quick to catch a nap when I need to. What areas of wellness do you need to work on, (name)? Whatever ever those wellness adjustments need to be for you, handle it without apology.
Entrepreneurship has been a gift in my life. Remind me I said that when I am ready to chuck it all in. It is a test of resilience and sacrifice both personally and professionally. I’m excited to see what these teenage years have in store. There are some new things on the horizon that will be rolled out soon. Keep your fingers crossed as I work through the tech.
